Preserving our most treasured memories is something we all hold dear. While there are countless ways to cherish and keep them alive, few methods are as unique and timeless as personalised glass lockets.
For centuries, lockets have been a beloved statement piece, allowing us to keep our most cherished memories close to our hearts. They serve as the perfect way to preserve a photo of a loved one, whether it's a family member, significant other, or someone who has passed away.
At Mon Bijoux, we offer a distinctive selection of high-quality, personalised glass lockets that blend the classic charm of this antiquated tradition with a contemporary twist. Our lockets enable you to capture the memoirs of your loved ones while adding elegance to your everyday attire.
To help you achieve this timeless look, we've put together a step-by-step tutorial on how to embed a photo into a glass locket.
Step 1: Gather an Empty Locket and Your Chosen Picture
First, you will need an empty glass locket. You can choose from a variety of styles and shapes to find the perfect one for you from our collection here. Once you have your locket, grab a picture that you want to use. It can be a photo of a loved one, a special moment, or anything that holds significance to you. Trace the shape of the locket onto the picture to ensure that it will fit perfectly.
Step 2: Carefully cut out the picture
Using a sharp pair of scissors, carefully cut out the image following the traced shape of the locket. Take your time and make sure to cut the image as precisely as possible. A clean and exact cut will ensure that the image fits perfectly inside the locket.
Step 3: Open the locket and attach the image inside
Next, open the locket by simply unscrewing the small ring (donut) shaped knob affixed just above the glass at the top of the locket until the locket hinges open. Once the locket is open, attach the image inside. Make sure that the image is facing the right way and is centred perfectly inside the locket.
Step 4: Align Threads and Securely Close Your Locket
Close the locket and align the threads. Once you have the image inside, close the locket and make sure that the threads are aligned. Then, screw the same knob down till it is in the closed position all the way down to the glass. This will ensure that the locket is securely closed and the image is protected.
Step 5: Wear it!
Your personalised glass locket is now ready to wear! This beautiful accessory is both meaningful and stylish. Just follow these simple steps, and you'll have a beautiful locket that you can treasure for years to come.
